Wondering what to do in Seattle? This list is by no means complete, but these are
some places I know personally:
 |
Hiking
Tiger Mountain
Tiger Mountain may well be the nation's most trod-upon 3,000-foot hill. One to 12 miles of
easy to moderate trails.

On the southwest slopes of Mount Si, east of Seattle near North Bend, this is a haven for
rock climbers and hikers escaping the crowded Mount Si Trail. Five miles round trip of
easy to moderate hiking.
Mount Si
In the Cascade foothills, east of Seattle near North Bend, the state's most popular trail
offers vertical thrills and great views. Eight miles round trip of difficult hiking.
Dungeness Spit
Near Sequim, Dungeness Spit is a 5.5-mile curved finger of sand a saltwater beach
walk extraordinaire.
Hurricane Ridge
Beware of baby strollers with bad brakes on this moderate seven-miler, one of the Olympic
Peninsula's most-used alpine trails.
Angry Mountain
Southwest of Packwood in Gifford Pinchot National Forest and the Goat
Rocks Wilderness Area. This rugged trail leads through old-growth forest to a ridge on
